Convicted murderer Jake Shuttlesworth is allowed temporary release from prison in order to convince his estranged son Jesus that he should play basketball for the Governor's old college. As decision-time approaches, Jesus weighs up his options, whilst Jake has to wrestle with new found parental responsibilities.
