Antonio and his son Pietro are alone in Milan to face Pietro's brain cancer diagnosis. Jaber, just fifteen, is in Italy with a group of fellow countrymen escaping North Africa. Disease is the pretext for a meeting between Antonio and Jaber, two scared and lonely souls.
